JeanAM: the pen tool has more of a role with masking in photoshop - but you can also use it to create vector art shapes

Wv_vasaGst9: Jean, wouldn't it be easier to just start a group on Flickr.com and invite the whole class to join? It allows for storing pictures and also to have discussion. One only needs a Yahoo! Mail ID to sign in.

WfolgaGst20: Hi Jean, I have a question about coloring the grayscale image in Lesson 3...The text recommends using gradient map, however the author preloaded the gradients for our exercise. Is there a way to add gradients to the library or are we limited to the default samples of photoshop?

WvDoraGst5: I think SyedA may be concerned about showing a REALLY original idea online. Folks grab photos from the web all the time and post them where ever they want. SyedA, maybe you could watermark it. The idea would still be there, but they couldn't use that actual image.

Wv_vasaGst9: I am not able to explore the videos on XP/Vista...so just made a copy of the disc so that I can watch on whichever of the two computers I am working on.
WvSyedQGst7: I think Jean videos are better becuase is doing step my step for this class to understand the concept, but in Derk Videos he is detail but sometimes he just do few step which is not explained properly

Wv_vasaGst9: The videos of the textbook are confusing to me because of the constant mention of shortcuts of both Windows and Mac.
WvchrisGst22: I found that if I take notes while they are talking in the videos I can follow the steps later when I have to ddo an assignment on my own
